The Australia – New Zealand Climate Change & Business Conference series is the leading conference in the region, engaging mainstream business and policy makers on the climate change issue and helping to facilitate action. The conference series focuses on the risks and opportunities posed to business by global warming and, as an Australia-New Zealand entity, promotes the exchange of ideas and learnings across the Tasman.

The 2009 conference follows on successful events in Auckland (2004 & 2008), Adelaide (2006) and Brisbane (2007).  The conference is a not-for-profit venture co-organised by the Climate Change & Business Centre and Point Carbon and is supported by business groups, NGOs and Government agencies in five countries.

Carbon Certification


The 5th Australia-New Zealand Climate Change and Business Conference is making the 2009 conference carboNZero certified. This means that we will measure, manage and offset the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the conference and exhibition organisation and implementation. After the event, an audit will be performed by PricewaterhouseCoopers to ensure the conference has met the carboNZero programme requirements.

Landcare Research’s carboNZero programme is the world’s first accredited greenhouse gas certification scheme. The accreditation was made by the Joint Accreditation System – Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) which comes under the auspices of the International Accreditation Forum.
