The Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre is centrally located near the Sydney CBD and offers easy public transport access. In an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the operation of the conference, we ask delegates to consider taking public transport wherever possible.
Public transport from the airport to the Convention Centre and nearby hotels is easy and, with Sydney’s notorious traffic, it is probably the quickest and cheapest way to go!
At the airport, from the Domestic or International terminal, follow the signs to “Train” and take the CityRail train towards “Central”. Cost: $15. Time: 22 min approx. See The State Transit Website for further info.
Option 1: Central Station. At Central, change to the Metro Light Rail (headed towards Lilyfiled). Metro Light Rail operates every 15 minutes and has a stop directly outside the Convention Centre. Cost: $3.40 one way. Time: 9 min approx. See www.metrolightrail.com.au for further info.
or:
Option 2: Town Hall Station (one stop beyond Central). From here, walk the Convention Centre. About a 10min walk. Click here for a map of the walk.
The Convention Centre is located on the western side of Darling Harbour and is an easy 10min walk from the CBD, including either Wynyard Train/Bus station (see walking map) or Town Hall (see walking map).
For those who commute into the CBD via bike or running, the Convention Centre has kindly made limited shower & change facilities available. Bookings must be made to confirm access. Please contact the organisers at secretariat@climateandbusiness.com.
